We are a group of veterans who in 2009 identified a lack of support in the local community for those suffering from combat trauma; in particular, the reserve forces. We set up the group to assist both the members of the Armed Forces as well as their families. We also raise funds for the associated charities serving the needs of those with PTSD.

Currently, we are also looking for a bigger venue as we seem to have outgrown our present one; to whom we offer our sincere thanks for the way they have supported us.

The nation owes a debt of gratitude to our service men and women; our motto is: "To help is to Serve."

Currently, we have HMRC charity status but we are going for Charity Commission charity registration very soon. We are also in the process of setting up a website.

Good luck to all who support our troops and thank you.

Hi Trevor... I have traced your IP address to the Haverfordwest area of west wales.. If you want to contact Jim or Chris I am sure you can do so via the Trealaw Mental Health Unit. AS JIM KENCHINGTON AND CHRIS EVANS ARE NO LONGER MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP

Failing that you can call one of the numbers on this website and speak to a member of the group.

I have heard of the rhondda veterans (especially Jim and Chris who run the group) and was wondering where a lot of the information on the site has gone. There appears to now be very little information compared to previously. :-(

I served in the infantry in Vietnam and returned home only to suffer from PTSD even until now. I was able to talk myself out of ending my dreams of hell many times. Seeing news reports of so many new vets returning home, only to end their lives, finally drove me to write a book (My Life, My Hell This Grunt’s Journey Back to the World). I wrote it as an outreach to my fellow Vietnam Veterans and our new returning veterans in order to help them heal from PTSD, for their families and friends to understand why we suffer. I also charge America to give Korean and Vietnam Veterans the long overdue respect and honor deserved for their service. The book can be located on the net by searching my complete name.

Hi, I came to see you a few months ago with Tosh and talked to you about holistic therapies. I'm a member of the Federation of Holistic therapists and found a link to this site on their page;- http://www.britishveterans.org.uk/ It might be worth you having a look because it seems to offer lots of reductions for many things like holidays, entertainment, meals out etc.

Bye for now, Tracy and Tosh.

It is reassuring to see such an excellent support group dedicated to helping veterans from the Rhondda. I am sure this service will provide support for many ex-soldiers.
